Artificial Insemination is specific technique used in dog breeding to assist in the mating process. In the process of Artificial Insemination, the semen is collected from the stud dog and placed inside of the receptive female dog. This technique allows for a safer and less stressful method of impregnating the female dog. This method minimizes many of the risks associated with natural tie dog breeding, such as injuries to either male or female dog and the spread of bacteria. Here at The Bull Firm we utilize primarily the transvaginal and transcervical methods of artificial insemination. With transvaginal insemination, the semen is inserted into the vaginal canal. With transcervical insemination, the semen is inserted directly onto the cervix allowing for a much shorter route to the eggs waiting to be fertilized.
